Every successful person or business takes advantage of leverage. There's only 24 hours in a day! And no matter how talented you are or how much you get paid per hour, if you don't take advantage of leverage you're limited by the number of hours in a day.
It is quite unusual for most people to work only 8 hours a day due to the heavy workload and overtime. However, Let's l use 8 hours a day in this illustration.
Working a five days week you will have 40 hours of productive time. In 50 weeks a year (assuming you take 2 weeks for vacation) you will have 2000 hours. In a lifetime of productivity you will only have 80,000 hours if you work for 40 years of your life. This is not much of time and especially if you are already in your middle ages.
In network marketing, if you have 20,000 people in your network after a number of years, and lets say these people only work for one day of 8 hours. You will then have generated 160,000 hours in a day, i.e. twice that of your life time of 80,000 hours. There is no way of achieving this if you use your own time. This is the essence of leveraging whether it is for time, money, enthusiasm, etc.

As you can see Leverage rocks!
Its being a team player and pluggin gin and being responsible for your part..
But today I played with my kids while team members were out getting customers and customer getters.
And I have and will gladly do the same.

My (recent) story

Our Isabella Rose was born in 2006, adding to our family of two older girls. My husband and I were/are real estate brokers.We had our own thriving business, three little girls and a beautiful fix-it-upper home that we had "fixer-upped" on a gorgeous tree-lined street. My husband also had a profitable antique store.Then the economy went downhill, fast. Our area was one of the first and the hardest hit. After some soul searching,we decided to regroup in the UK,where my husband is originally from. When we arrived there, the recession was just hitting. Our backs were against the wall.We began looking for different opportunities. I scrutinized many different lifepaths, including going back to school.
We studied others who were doing well financially and asked what they were doing professionally. We came back to California with incredible timing for opportunity. An executive I know, who had approached me to be her business partner 3 years prior, had just hit over a million dollars and just met Donald Trump. I had previously turned her offer down three years ago assuming she and her husband were just "hungry" and trying out one of those multi-level marketing thingies. Today they are featured in Success Magazine.
I don't believe in regrets but it was definitely a wake-up call. This woman was a stay-at-home mom for 15 years. Her husband ran a successful book mobile business but was always away from home.They started with our company as I said 3 years ago. Now,I know many other people making incredible money within this organization.
Even in this recession, our meetings are packed with happy,thriving people. We are helping people help themselves. We are not selling creams or potions. Our products are those technologies that people use everyday; kids, adults, all ages, all creeds, everyone. This is the most doable program I have ever seen or experienced.The compensation is phenomenal. Today I work with Ms. Jennifer Dowd and Ms.Shirley Andriopolous in the number one team in the United States. I am proud and honored to know these amazing people. I am proud of my work and I am especially excited for the future. Shirley has accomplished so much.She is an amazing businesswoman and a solid mentor by example.
Yes, it is a tiered or multi-level program.Yes, we are a customer acquisition company. You will never make money by simply recruiting others;those are all schemes.Our business partners are able to surpass us in merit and money.This is a level playing field suited for all backgrounds. It is also the most secure job I have ever had; recession proof, respectable and established. The startup costs are very minimal and the opportunity to turn a profit is immediate.It can be done in any of the 19 countries we represent. I am working full-time but many others start out part-time in the cracks of their lives and make very good money.
This is REAL.I know. I AM LIVING IT. It is not get rich quick, but it is way better than get rich never. The compensation is incredible and most people I know,including myself,turn a very tidy profit within 30 days and then just keep going. One must have a work ethic and also enjoy technology--because it is not going away anytime soon!
